Overview
The Ausangate 4 four-day tour is located in the mountain with the same name Ausangate (Wasanqati in Quechua) is the fifth-highest mountain in Peru, with an altitude of 6,372 meters above sea level. It is located about 100 kilometers southeast of the city of Cusco.
in this Ausangate 4 days trek, you can easily see llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas in their natural habitat, as well as local people who still keep their tradition with typical clothes and speak Quechua, believing even in the Andean gods (the APUS, mountain spirits). The trek requires you to walk for 6 to 8 hours each day, so it is recommended to prepare well in advance to avoid feeling fatigued because of the altitude in the Ausangate trek.
On the last day, we will arrive at the famous Vinicunca (Winicunca) rainbow mountain Peru Ausangate is the representative mountain of the Andean people. It is situated in the Vilcanota mountain range with large lagoons with bright green/blue colors.

DAY 01 Cusco| Tinqui- Upis – Camp
In this morning hike, you will see local people herding llamas and alpacas, and at the camp, you have the option to enjoy the hot spring 10 soles fee.
Day 02 Upis| Arapa Pass – Puca Ccocha camp
this day we will witness the glacier so close and the colorful lakes before you arrive at the camp and close to the campsite.
Day 03 Puca Ccocha | Ananta Camp

Itinerary
For our Ausangate 4 days tour, we will collect from your hotel at 6:00 am and drive to the trailhead which is located at the base of the imposing Ausangate small village called Upispampa here we will start the Ausangate 4 days trek to Vinicunca rainbow mountain adventure we will hike through the villages where you can see the real Andean people and their customs we will follow this valley till we get to the small town of Upis here our team will be waiting for us with a great lunch after lunch you will have your free time you can take advantage to walk around the beautiful lakes which take two hours more or less then come back to the camping site or just rest for the following day enjoy dinner after dinner if the weather is good you can see the constellations!!.
Our super team will wake you up with a hot coca tea at 5:00 am after you will have a very nutritious breakfast after breakfast we will start our second-day Ausangate adventure we will start going up to Arapa Pass with an elevation of 4968 m. On the way we can appreciate local farmers and alpacas in their natural habitat, and of course, Ausangate snow-capped mountain protecting us all those natural beauties will be interpreted by our expert tour guide about flora fauna and Andes mountains as well we will see so colorful lakes before we get our camping site of Puca Ccocha “red lake” this campground is surrounded by big mountains and we will be close to the glacier where we will have our lunch and dinner and rest for the following day!
Our team will wake us up early in the morning with a hot coca tea and then breakfast today we are going to conquer one of the most difficult days at the same time as the most beautiful, this day we will conquer the highest pass (5051) you will be surrounded by the colorful mountains and we will have a spectacular view to Ausangate mountain, then we will enter to the red mountain valley one of the most beautiful areas with vivid colors around here we will see llamas and alpacas grazing close to us, as we get close to the camp we will see the rocky mountains here we will have lunch and spent the last night.
you will wake up early in the morning 4:30 am with hot coca tea then breakfast after we will start the adventure to the naturally colored mountain Vinicunca from the camp we will go up to the Ananta pass 4600 m from where we can already see the amazing colorful mount but still far away from this place we will go down surround the lake then we will have the ups and downs just before we get to Vinicunca or Winicunca we have the last uphill to the viewpoint of the rainbow mountain from where you will have the incredible view and of course, you will have time to enjoy as much as you can after we get the most amazing picture we will go down to the bus station where our driver and our crew is waiting for us with amazing lunch after lunch we will say goodbye to our team then back to Cusco will be arriving in Cusco around 6 PM we will drop you off in your hotel in Cusco.
